To make the strawberry compote: slice 5 of the strawberries into 1cm cubes, then add them to a small pan on low heat along with 1 tsp maple syrup and a splash of water. Allow to cook for around 5-10 minutes until softened, using the back of a fork to lightly mash them if needed.
